About Our School
WELCOME TO PROSPECT POINT SCHOOL!
Your child is important to us, and we value your involvement in our school. Our staff is committed to providing the highest quality education for every student. At Prospect Point Elementary, ALL means ALL.
Prospect Point is a kindergarten through fifth grade elementary school with approximately 520 students. We have 65 staff members; 39 certificated staff, and 26 classified employees.
For the 2021-2022 school year, we are pleased to add a school counselor and a Community In Schools Student and Community Advocate to our staff. In addition, we have added a Home Visit Liasion position. We are excited about the opportunity for these positions to support our efforts in strengthening our support and connection with our families.
Prospect Point receives State funds to provide Learning Assistance Programs (LAP) and Title 1 services for students needing additional support in Reading and Math. We believe in providing early intervention to students in reading and math to ensure students master grade level essential standards, and use a variety of assessment tools to determine which students qualify for the program. Since we are a Title 1/LAP school, we have a strategic plan that addresses our needs and the strategies that will be used to improve student achievement.
Our staff is committed to collaborative practice. Over the course of the past 4 years, our staff have been focused on working to support our District's Strategic Plan focused on 4 pillars:
- High Quality Instruction
-Aligned and Coherent Systems
-Safe & Engaging Environment
Grade level teams collaborate with each other and their buidling colleagues to establish proficiency maps and unit plans focused on district adopted essential standards in both English/Language Arts and Math to drive instruction for all learners. If you have questions about essential standards in your child's grade level, our staff is excited to talk with you!
